Esinem is a London-based practitioner of Japanese rope bondage. He regularly performs at UK and international events such as Torture Garden, Erotica, Rubber Ball, Wasteland, Boundcon, Nuit Demonia and, in 2011, represented the UK at Japan’s first international kinbaku event, Toubaku. Esinem also teaches the Japanese system of rope tying and has produced a two-DVD tutorial, Japanese Rope Bondage: Tying People, Not Parcels, and is a co-organizer of the London Festival of the Art of Japanese Rope Bondage.
While his style is based on traditional kinbaku techniques, he has been known to depart from the classical method during live performances.
He has worked on various videos, artistic collaborations and photo shoots both on and off camera. He also contributed to Rope, Bondage & Power, edited by Lee Harrington and is currently involved with a number of documentaries on kinbaku.
